EllisFam Interviews

I have asked for the EllisFam to do a small 8 question interview so that we may get to know one another and how The Jason Ellis Show has changed or impacted our lives. These are their reply’s, unedited and all in their own words. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, and thank you to everyone who participated. Without you all this wouldn’t be possible.

Uppity Dick (@Banginmumtards)

  1. Where do you live? I live in Orange County, CA. No it’s not like the tv show, fuck off!!!
  2. What is your occupation? Electrician. Hope I spelled that right
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. 29. Train muay thai, race motorcycles, bang my old lady, and pretty much an all around good guy but acts like a fucktard
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? Been listening to the wing for 3 1/2 years. Can I get a red dragons?
  5. How did you discover TJES? Got this job and they bought new F150 with a trial subscription. Scrolling one day and ran across these retards talking about catching bull loads, and the rest was history.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? Just a down to earth person who acts real. Met him a few times and always acts just like he does on the show. Now that I’ve also gotten to know a lot of the ellisfam on twitter as well I have become increasingly involved in the show. Just a all around great show to feel a part of
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? got in a bad motorcycle accident a while back and went on a bender of getting shitfaced, popping pills, eating shit, got fat as fuck and being a all around worthless human being. Ellis had one of those motivational shows about hardening the fuck up. Before the show ended my cigarettes were in the trash and was limping my ass down to my apartments gym to the treadmill to start rehabbing my injuries. I’m now 50lbs lighter, non smoker, train MMA 5 days a week, back on the motorcycle lighter and  faster than ever. Thanks mate!!
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? As much as I love the Ellis show, the best it’s brought me in my life is Ellis Fam. You guys are the part of the show I  get to interact with and feel a part of something bigger than just myself. Love you guys!!  And for fuck sake YES that is my real license plate for my bike in my avi!!! @banginmumtards

中 Bevan 中 (@Cre8vBlade)

  1. Where do you live? Virginia Beach, VA
  2. What is your occupation? Web Designer / Social Media Coordinator
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. I love being creative. If I can’t be creative with whatever I’m doing, it’s not worth my time.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I’ve listened for about three years
  5. How did you discover TJES? I was listening to Bubba the Love Sponge and they were playing a rerun that day. I decided to flip around channels and came across Ellis. I slowly changed the channel from Bubba to Ellis as I found him more interesting. Stopped listening to Bubba completely after a while.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? He inspires me everyday to be my best, to be the best man possible. He projects that attitude in almost every broadcast. I love hearing him and Tully help shape Rawdog’s life for the better because I see a lot of me in him when I was that age. I struggled with women, was unsure of myself, and was a total dork. They all have shaped my life for the better.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? The day I switched to Ellis was the day he was interviewing Devlyn Steele from Tools to Life. I was going through a really low point in my life and it was exactly what I need to hear that day. I went through the 90-Day Challenge and graduated a stronger, more positive person. I don’t consider it luck, I consider it a blessing I heard Ellis that day. He and Devlyn taught me that there is no situation I couldn’t get out of, that I need to stay positive, and when things get rough I need to HTFU and power through it to succeed. Ellis has also taught me how to man-up more, to endure pain and ridicule in order to become a stronger individual. I am also part of the OG Ellisfam, a group that has allowed me to open up more as a person, be bolder in my attitude, and become more confident with women (because they have some LOVELY ones in the group I call my friends).
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? Ellisfam forever.

Thanks, Jason. Rock on and RED DRAGONS.

Bevan

Sleepy Joe (@sleepyjoe_RDS)

  1. Where do you live? Port Orford, Oregon
  2. What is your occupation? Stay at home father
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. I am a disabled commercial fisherman/ranch hand.  Married to a most excellent lady, and have two amazing daughters. Spend most of my time trying to make a positive impact on the Ellis family.
  4.  How long have you listened to TJES? I have been listening to Jason Ellis’s Show since late 07 early 08
  5.  How did you discover TJES?I discovered the show driving a friend of mine to his dialysis, would sit in the parking lot listening to Satellite radio, and changed to faction (cause I love the mix of music they put on) and is was the start of the show. Was hooked instantly cause I see eye to eye with most of the points that the whole crew makes not just Ellis.
  6.  What keeps you listening to TJES? I will always listen to the show, one because my debt to ellis, tully, Shoebox, and even Rawdog. The mix of all those personalities and opinions make the show what it is.
  7.  Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? They have helped me through so much…relapse of addiction to old habits, making a change to battle my ailments such as Anorexia, PTSD, and epliepsy. I gave up right around the same time I fought in Ellismania 4, I was 5 weeks out of open abdomen surgery when I fought, because I gave my word to be in the fight, was against the doctors advice.  Stupid Idea cause I had 4 surgeries when I got back from Vegas. Since that experience I have made the 100% effort to change all this stuff for the better.
  8.  Is there anything else you would like to share? The Jason Ellis show is a much needed impact in the world we live in, to many of us skate rats, troubled youths grown up need someone that understands that kind of life situations. The duty of the Ellisfamily is to spread the word and the show anyway they can, but only for the right reasons.

Twisted Trucker (@tank_yanker)

Well, I was expecting a few crazy questions, like favorite position, which hand do you wipe with, describe your O face… But here goes..

  1. Where do you live? I live in central Ontario, commonly called cottage country up here. (Because of all the lakes and trees and shit)..
  2. What is your occupation? I’ve been an owner/operator for 20 years driving a truck. Before all that, I was an industrial millwright, welder/fitter, jack of all trades type. Finally fed up with fucktards in management at one end, and babysitting dummies that failed basic math at the other.. So I shit canned the whole thing, bought a truck, and never looked back.. (What the hell was I thinking)…
  3. Tell me a little about yourself.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? Been a steady listener of TJES about 4 years.
  5. How did you discover TJES? and pretty much knew of Ellis when the Red Dragons started fucking with Bubba (BTLS) which was funny as shit, so I started to catch his shows then. Been hooked ever since..
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? That’s an easy one!. WTF is gonna happen today?
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? Since listening to the show, and signing up on twitter, the first few people I started following was @AZ_RedDragon, @bitpimps , and @mike_in_canada. Since hooking up with these fuckwits, its expanded to a lot of people in the #EllisFam, and that started my slow roll into hell… But at least I’ll be laughing my ass off when I hit the hot stuff!! Which brings us to…
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? Just so you all know, I genuinely care for each and every one of you, and anytime I can help out, I’m happy to try. I’ve met a lot of stand up people through the #EllisFam, (and some crazy bastids too!). You all really help me get through the miles, and I appreciate you taking the time to be smart asses with me all day! *all this written at 60mph. Yeah, I can multi task like a mofo..* *some names have been changed to protect the innocent*.. **wait!..none of you are innocent** never mind.. carry on…

MICHAEL SORIA (@Butterballs_EM6)

  1. Where do you live? Yo yo yo check it. Dis be the 1 the only Mike Soria AKA BUTTERBALLS. Coming to you live from Cerritos California where I was raised.
  2. What is your occupation? I’m a self employed professional driver,a Transporter if you will. Like Jason Statham but I have hair and drive a van.
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I aint fakin I love clay aikin and teddy bears… oh wait I mean I skateboard and used to play drums in a punk band. I’m more mellow these days, until Ellismania comes around. Then I party and punch someone in De’face.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I’ve been listening to TJES since he was on tuesdays and thursdays I think. Pretty much since he got his own show or dj set I guess. I just remember catching the show on once in a while.
  5. How did you discover TJES? I followed Howard Stern over to satellite radio and everyday when I was done listening to his show I’d switch to Faction. Once in a while I’d hear this dude with an accent talking about chicks and skateboarding and just being funny saying whatever.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? Taking phone calls from idiots telling him to say “That’s not a knife”. I fuckn loved it! Once I figured out TJES had a regular schedule I found myself getting pissed every time i forget to tune in. So I set an alarm. For me TJES is the best show to listen to. It really helps me get through the workday. I liked Howard a lot but Ellis is more my style. I’m 31 yrs old. Still consider myself a Howard fan but hardly listen anymore.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? I feel TJES has changed the way I look at life. In a good way. Until I heard Jason telling his life experiences, I wasn’t really thinking about what I was doing. Just living day to day boring as shit. “YOU GOTTA LIVE YOUR LIFE! DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN BEFORE YOU DIE CUZ YOU AINT GETTIN IT BACK AFTER ITS GONE.” Ellis is like all my best friends in one. He was a Pro Skateboarder, I dreamed of being a Pro Skateboarder. He partied, I partied. That’s why I liked the show, because I could relate to him.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? I was the only volunteer that showed up to be in the DeCockathon (the dick olympics) on a Friday morning show and competed against the man himself. I lost the competition but gained some respect from the listeners and Ellis. Later that year I entered the 1st ever Musical Chairs Fight at Ellis Mania 6. I put on a show earning the name Butterballs and won the title. Since then I’ve been on the show a few times doing stupid funny shit like Disco Balls and Mexican Shock Collar Arm Wrestling with @FonzoBlunt even though I’m not Mexican. I’m Peruvian. There was one time on the show that I was grossed out and kinda felt violated. It was when Ellis lost a game and had to tongue dart my belly. I thought it was funny until I felt his tongue in my belly. I almost puked! Anyway now I’m in a movie with Ellis, Mayhem, Dingo and other awesome people.
I love the show and hope it never gets old because wtf else am I supposed to listen to. TJES IS SECOND TO NONE! PEACE OUT! DON’T DIE!

Shoutout to @bitPimps and @AZ_RedDragon
Thanks to everyone who supports the show! You guys are Awesome!

  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I have followed Jason from is hearly years in skateboarding, I use to work in a few differant skate shops. Actually listening on a daily basis has to be at least going on 4-5 years now.
  5. How did you discover TJES? Cruzin through XM and heard this crazy old skateboarder had a show…
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? You just never know what is going to happen next!
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? The show has done allot for my self esteem and taught me allot about being a “man” (like a stand up kinda guy)
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? I can believe how many times I made plans to just GO to an Ellismania, and now that I finally am going, I actually get to fight! All I can say is this fight is going out to my daughter, and the fans! I’m in there swingin for all of you!

  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? My mental & physical fitness is way better: I’ve gone from 200 lbs( beer gut) to 175(firm). I’ve been fortunate enough to form A bond with ALOT of really great people who accept me for who I am.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? Many good times with all of you.

  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? Love me some EllisFam! If it weren’t for the show, I wouldn’t have the privilege of knowing all you mother fuckers.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? July 14. Humungous Bitch Fight. Complete and total carnage.

Alex Reed (@shit_toboggan)

  1. Where do you live? Oakland, California.
  2. What is your occupation? Service adviser at Dana Meyer Auto Care in Albany, CA.
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. I am pretty much your average working stiff. I like tattoos, skating, loud fast angry music, slow sweet romantic music, bit of a comic collector, cars, all around good guy I suppose. Never really sure what to write when someone says “Tell me about yourself” unless I’m filling out a job application. I spend most of my time working, most recently been training three days a week for EllisMania 8. On my off time I’m also a semi-regular volunteer at 924 Gilman st, the semi-legendary punk rock club out here in the bay area.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I’ve been  listening to the Ellis show for about 4 1/2 years.
  5. How did you discover TJES? I discovered the show kind of by accident. I had Sirius for over a year and was starting to lose interest in Howard Stern. I would listen to music and flip through channels all day. I always thought it was weird that the action sports channel had some British guy doing an afternoon talk show, and never really stopped to hear it through, but one day I landed on Faction during a “Dude, is it gay?” segment and couldn’t stop laughing. I listened to the rest of the show and loved every second of it. Been hooked ever since.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? It’s funny, definitely makes the work day go by faster. It can be anything from motivational to hilarious to just plain stupid to absolutely beautiful. The fans are really a community, not just a bunch of fans. Jason does a great job weeding out the bullshit we all can get stuck in. It’s a great way to spend four hours of the day and always puts a smile on my face somehow.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? It’s been a good way to keep sane on stressful days. Joining in on all the “World’s Greatest” and other shit the show asks for participation on, all the EllisMania’s have been an amazing time. It does light a fire under my ass to get out and do more with myself. I was always a pretty lazy person, now I exercise and eat better and really do shit with my time. Life’s too short, y’know?
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? CumTard is gonna get fucked up real bad July 14th. RED DRAGONS!!!

Dutch 中 (@Dutch_RDS)

  1. Where do you live? Highlands Ranch, CO
  2. What is your occupation? Director of Product Management and Sales Gateway Services Group
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. 32 actually 33 on July 6. Just celebrated 10 years of marriage. I have a 4 year old son named Jack. He was born premature at 29 weeks he was 2 lbs 11 oz and spent 42 days in the NICU. He is my world and couldn’t imagine life without him.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I have been a listener for 4 years.
  5. How did you discover TJES? I was listening to faction one day when TJES came on, I was hooked right away.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? I keep listening because Ellis is real. He’s some some fake wackity wack radio guy. Jason has always been open and honest about his life, his struggles, his triumphs and that is a big thing for me. I also keep listening because I love the #ellisfam
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? Through the show I met the #ellisfam. A great group of people that have always been there for me. I have had a lot of ups and downs or last 4 years and the fam has always been there for me. Recently I was going through some shit, I felt alone and started cutting. A couple of fam members reached out to me and saved me from myself. Even my own fraternity which I love hasn’t been there for me like the fam has.  There are a couple of people I will always be grateful for.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? I am really looking forward to meeting everyone at EM8 and putting on a good show the fans! Chin down hands up!
