EllisFam Interviews

I have asked for the EllisFam to do a small 8 question interview so that we may get to know one another and how The Jason Ellis Show has changed or impacted our lives. These are their reply’s, unedited and all in their own words. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, and thank you to everyone who participated. Without you all this wouldn’t be possible.

bwstrangler (@bwstrangler)

  1. Where do you live? Minnesota, we count ponds as lakes so we can claim “Land of 10,000 lakes”. We can’t build Bridges for shit. Are sports teams are cursed all because some drunk ShitDick at a Vikings game in 197who gives a fuck hit a ref right in his payed off cocksmokin face with a whiskey bottle. And we have a big ass mall that employs half the population of Somalia.
  2. What is your occupation? I am a Mechanical Technician. I build big ass medical machines and random other shit. Basically just drill holes and bolt shit up all day, kinda like an adult Lego job. Nobody breaths down my neck and I can fuck off constantly, Blue Collar as a mother fucker but it is what it is.
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. I have Dubed myself The Bubble Wrap Strangler because I thought it was funny. I am addicted to wrap and I was a very disgruntled shipping employe awhile back. I would sing songs about killing my coworkers with bubble wrap really loud but it didn’t matter cause English was not very good with those around me. I like to smoke pot and drink beer and headbang. I have a wife and 1 and a half kids. 2nd one, or as I call him the Anti-Christ busts out end of September. Bolth have dicks and my wife has no idea of the amount of piss that will be covering the toilet seat in a couple of years.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I have been a satellite subscriber for 6 or 7 years. I caught Ellis on Demolition radio right away and I remembered watching him on Tony hawk tour when ESPN would play that shit. Right befor And1 basketball, Da Proffesor!! Were was I? Ohh yea, Ellis was a riot on that tour bus and he was always infront of the camera. Same thing on Demolition radio, he was constantly crackin me up. I caught him on by himself at night a couple times randomly and then the Jason Ellis show all of a sudden was on as I was getting off of work. Don’t know if I caught the exact start but I was fuckin close. 1st time I ever called in was on 4/20 when him and Kit Cope were smoking in the studio and Kit couldn’t roll a joint.
  5. How did you discover TJES? I discovered TJES from Demolition and I discovered Demolition radio because I was really high and thought I was still on the Heart Attack(R.I.P, Liquid Metal is a gay name) channel
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? Everything keeps me listening. I love every part of the show, even the hockey helmet window licking callers. It feels good to know I’m not the dumbest mother fucker out there. We all need laughter in are lives and this radio show we all love has provided me with constant giggling, it’s more entertaining then anything else on radio or TV.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? The show helped me see that I had wife material on my hands and I needed to lock that shit down. So, U could say the show helped me discover what I really wanted in a chick, and helped me understand sluts thanks to one signature segment. I started dating my wife 4years ago so I was a big fan of the show already, She was not. Then one night were banging, I get it out to aim for the tits like usual and BOOM without me ever bringing it up or asking she directs it to her face like a champ. Right then and there I told her I loved her and it’s been on ever since.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? I wrote all this on the shitter at work. My ass is numb and people are probably looking for me. And Im gonna end this by saying as motivational as Jason Ellis is nothing compares to the motivation and determination displayed by Gabe Ruediger on Season 5 of The Ultimate Fighter. To go on National Television and assblast ice cream sandwich your way through a once in a lifetime opportunity like being coached by BJ Penn shows a man who works hard to achieve his goals in life. GET THESE BALLS RUEDIGIRL
 John Hendrix (@Hispandrix)

  1. Where do you live?Lacombe, LA – but to not confuse people or clarify, New Orleans
  2. What is your occupation?Retail GM – master of cell phones
  3. Tell me a little about yourself.I’ll just keep it short and simple: Avid/Rabid sports fan, beer enthusiast, love women, technology, and havin’ a good time
  4. How long have you listened to TJES?Over 2 years now, I’m to the point where I get mad if I miss it, but I listen everyday, and even catch the replays on Stars Too at times
  5. How did you discover TJES?Through a buddy of mine who was listening to TJES
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES?You never know what’s going to happen next. I have never been big on Radio Shows, but once I started listening, I couldn’t switch it off. I respect all the guys on the show, and I like Ellis’ transparency. I think since they interact with a lot of people too during the show, keeps it interesting.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How?Yes – currently I’m back in the gym again. I went through some job BS in April, and through TJES & HTFU – it has helped me through my job agonies. I could have quit, but I powered through it, and had the mentality of wanting to prove them wrong. Currently pursuing other options because I don’t think I have to settle.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? #EllisFam is great, definitely love the fact that everyone (well most everyone) is cool with each other. I enjoy talking to everyone on EllisMania, and tweeting with you fuckers too!

  3. Tell me a little about yourself. After unemployment ran out I started my own business or painting and maintenance. It was around this time I started with the oxy. Take one in the moring before work so I wouldn’t shake from the alcohol. Then 1 wasn’t enough. Then 2 wasn’t enough. Then it became 2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. Any kind of of pills to help perc, vico, oxy, muscle relaxers along with a 30 pack of Busch beer and half a fifth of vodka.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? About 5 years I guess.
  5. How did you discover TJES? I found Jason on octane bitching about the music he had to play. I laughed so I gave his show a shot. I was picking up my son from high school and it was cowfucker this cowfucker that. We laughed our ass off. Then Jason started about religion and cowfucker and rawdog tried to explain about jews, catholics, and christians. It was fucking hilarious. Ben listening ever since.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? What keeps me listening? The fact that Jason is no bullshiter. Tells it like it is and is one funny motherfucker!!
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? The impact Jason had on me besides letting me  call in and make jokes of course the fact he got me to go to rehab. Not only have I been clean for 2 years iv’e got some friends clean with me. My wife and kids treat me with a new level of respect that has spread to our familys. It’s awesome being clean. The one thing I miss the most is the VIP number, by the time I get through the jokes over.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? Another great thing is I have the EllisFam. You guys have giving me alot of love!! I just hope the people in the Fam who need help reach out. There is great support all around you! I also hope that some of my messages inspire all kinds of people to  look inside their selves to become who they really want to be.In closing Peace&Love. YAAAAA MOTHERFUCKKKEERRRSS!!!!RDS!!!4LIFE!!!!!!ELLISFAM!!!!!

  1. Where do you live? Hamburg, New Jersey
  2. What is your occupation? Project Sales Engineer, Ice Hockey Official
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. Married 43 year old Punk Rock Dad into Hockey, Snowboarding, Mountain Biking, Skateboarding and Rugby.
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? 4+ years
  5. How did you discover TJES? Listening to the Tony Hawk Radio Show
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? Anticipating what Jason is going to say next. Just when you thought you heard it all, he tops it.  The show is like listening to fiends hanging out and shooting the shit. There is an awesome flow with the Tully and Josh which gets even better when guests come in.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? Yes. I was letting alot of shit bother me, which was starting to affect my overall attitude and my life.  I was listening to the show when Jason’s words hit me.  So I decided to “put my head down and keep pedaling Mother Fucker”.  Also, with the addition of Halftime, I’ve been cranking out pushups daily wherever I am. The show definitely makes the work day more enjoyable.  It is a huge part of my daily routine. I find myself talking about the show and using many of the phrases in my normaal conversation.  Luckily my wife is a fan as well.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? After meeting Jason, Tully and Josh at the Jersey book signing, I felt like I saw some old friends.  I gained a new respect for Jason after reading the book and listening to his stories.  I followed Jason during his skateboarding career without knowing his whole story and I was floored when I heard it. On a side note, I work in oil & gas industry responsible for Western Canada and go to the oil patch occasionally.  Every time I go, I meet a new TJES fan.  I travel quite a bit and I try to hook up with local EllisFam for beers.
Cheers,
 Joe

Me, A Man, and A Dog

I’m going to tell you a story about me, a man, and a dog. I know how that may sound. But this isn’t your typical story about me, a man, and a dog. This one is different.

I had just gotten home from work, I was outside setting up sprinklers to water my lawn when I noticed someone walking down the street with a dog in front on a leash. The owner was tugging back and forth and scolding the dog the entire way. Clearly this dog did not want to listen and just did whatever it wanted, the owner was just along from the ride. As the man and dog kept walking and approached closer, I realized he and the dog seemed familiar. My mind raced to place the face with a name, but I was drawing a blank. I remember thinking, “It’s just a neighbor, neighbor’s friend, or a family member I just haven’t noticed before.”

As I stayed busy adjusting the sprinklers for optimal coverage, I kept an eye on the semi-familiar man and his dog walking down the street. As they came closer, the dog was straining to get to me, not in a “I want to bite you” sort of way, but in a playful and curious sort of way. I was not frightened. I bent down and held my hand out as the owner let some slack out on the leash to allow his dog to come closer. “Don’t worry, he won’t bite!”, shouted the man. I could tell this just by the dog’s attitude and looks, and trusted the mans words. The dog instantly approached me and began to push his wet snout into my hand. “That’s a good boy! Who’s a good boy? You’re a good boy, that’s right!” I repeat.

The man catches up and starts to make typical, friendly chit-chat. “How are you doing? It’s pretty hot out here isn’t it?” I exclaim, “No doubt! It hot enough to make me consider quitting smoking!” We share a small laugh as the dog has become increasingly infatuated with me and had gone from smelling my hand, to licking my hand and using his nose as if he was showing me how he wanted me to pet him. I pet the dog, gave him a few “that’s a good boy” slaps on the ass and he was instantly my best friend. As the man and I continue to make small talk, the dog rolls over on his belly and starts motioning with his paws, as if to be saying “Hey, come on man, rub my belly, please!” He was so cute, I couldn’t bare to disappoint him, so I obliged and began to scratch his belly, chest, and armpits. We was in heaven.

The man continues, “Wow, he’s really taking a liking to you. Tell ya’ what. I’m getting ready to move for work and I can’t bring the dog with me. He seems to really like you, would you want him?” Perplexed and caught off guard, I began to fumble my words, almost just blurting out the stream of conscious racing through my head. “Well… I don’t… What does he even… How would I… I guess, dude.” Did that just come out of my mouth? Yes. Yes it did. I just agreed to take this familiar looking stranger’s, familiar looking dog, as my own. What the fuck was I thinking?! I didn’t know, I felt numb. The man can tell I’m scrambling to think, he interjects “Tell you what. I’m going to go get his papers to show you and while I do, why don’t you take this leash and keep on eye on the dog. I’ll be right back.” I’m instantly thinking this guy is just leaving me with his dog and is never returning.

I’m waiting. each minute feels like a half hour. As I’m looking at the dog and trying to think of what the fuck I’m supposed to do, I realize I’m gazing at the dog. He’s licking his legs, his ass, his balls, and now he’s concentrated on his little doggy dick. “Dude! What the fuck?! Stop! You sick fucker! Your pink thing is out now, you moron!” I yelled. His tongue is still going a million miles an hour and I’m thinking that I’m about to watch this fucking dog climax. I don’t know if I should smack him with a shovel or just leave and abandon this fucking dog. Suddenly I hear a shout “STOP THAT! STOP! STOP IT!” The man is running down the street, shouting at this fucking dog to stop giving himself head. I’m still in shock, a dog is leaning against my legs and ready to climax, and a strange man with a faux-hawk hair style is running towards me. I didn’t know whether to shit or go blind.

As the man is getting closer, he pulls out brownie and the dog starts kind of sitting / laying on the ground and dragging himself forwards. “Dude! Is this fucking dog jizzing all over my grass?” I exclaimed. “Man, I’m real sorry about that. It’s gross, but he does that sometimes. Usually I can give him a brownie and he chills out and won’t do that.” the man explains. He continues to show the dog this brownie, the dog has finished and is now lumbering towards his treat. I don’t know if it’s telling the dog “good job” or if it’s to calm this fucker down. The dog gobbles up the treat and is soon sprawled out and napping right where he was. “Here man, I brought over his papers. I swear that doesn’t happen often. Just give him one of these brownies right when you see him getting worked up and he’ll pass out instead.” says the man. I some what reluctantly go along with all of this for some reason. I’m still in shock of what just happened to my life in the span of 10 minutes.

The man continues to rattle off things about the dog, his eating habits, what to do, what not to do, etc. I’m trying to let all this sink in as much as possible. I felt like I was being given keys to safe that I never knew existed and it was filled with gold. As the man continues blurting out all sorts of information to me, my mind starts to slow down. In a split second, I’m thinking “Brain! Don’t do this right now, you can’t shut down on me! We really need this information!” My brain isn’t responding. it’s slowing down no matter what I want. Another thought pops into my head. I know this man! I know this dog! I’m filled with clarity now, I realize everything in a flash. I’ve got it!

As the man hands me a pack of rolling papers, I realize the bag of brownies he gave me are pot brownies. I look down at the dog and mutter, “I’m on to you!” and quickly turn to the man and say, “Look dude, I’m taking these pot brownies and these rolling papers, but the dog goes back with you! I hadn’t realize it before, but I now know exactly who you and your dog are.” The man looked shocked, even his dog looked shocked. They were busted, and they knew it. As I turned to go back and continue watering my lawn, as if to tell the pair that I was on to them and they should’ve known better, I said my final words to them before they walked off down the street. I said, “See ya Pendarvis, and stop cumming on people’s shit, Rawdog! Love the show, by the way!”

BOOM!

  4. How long have you listened to TJES? Over 3 years total, everyday for 2 years
  5. How did you discover TJES? Knew his name from when i skated as a kid, heard his name later on other radio shows when they talked trash cuz they were scared of him, started to listen and quickly realized TJES was the best
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? Honesty, loyalty, knowledge, support, humor, confidence and commitment you find in the show and fam that is rarely seen in the world anymore.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? Yes, multiple ways in many aspects of my life. The biggest would be helping me find myself again, digging that person out of the self imposed shit and helping that man fight to be better everyday.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? Finding the show and being introduced to many of it’s family has truly been life changing for me. I would like to say thanks, not just from myself but also from every member of my family who made me promise to do so when I had this chance. Those closest to me know how integral a part TJES and EllisFam is to me being alive today. I will never stop listening and will always give back every chance I get. Thank you.

Dave’s not here! (@BooozyTheClown)

  1. Where do you live? Henderson, NV (suburb next to Vegas, 20 min from the Strip)
  2. What is your occupation? I work for the family business, Legacy Electric, as a Project Manager and AutoCAD (computer aided design) drafter.
  3. Tell me a little about yourself. Born in Anaheim, CA but have lived most of my life in the surrounding areas of Vegas. Graduated High School in ’99 from Boulder City (small town formed when the Hoover Dam was being built). Joined the Navy in 2000 and was stationed on the USS Belleau Wood (LHA-3) out of San Diego until 2004 where I was then reassigned to the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kauai, HI until 2006. Met my wife on that island and married her in 2007 and divorced three years later…yay! My 6 yrs of service allowed me to travel all over the western hemisphere and last year finally made it to Europe and was able to visit 6 countries, Switzerland was my favorite but Amsterdam was a good fucking time…from what I remember!!
  4. How long have you listened to TJES? I, like a lot of people, subscribed to Sirius for Stern but when one day while scrolling through the channels in 2007 I came across The Jason Ellis Show and listened for about 5 minutes before I decided this guy’s an idiot and I turned it off. The next day same thing except I never turned it off and haven’t stopped laughing since.
  5. How did you discover TJES? I think I just answered that one.
  6. What keeps you listening to TJES? Well I hate to say it but it’s like Stern…what is he going to say next. I just get his humor and love the honesty of the show.
  7. Has the show changed or impacted you life in any way? How? It’s definitely changed my outlook on certain issues and I feel like I have more of an open mind to things that before I didn’t care to acknowledge. I think gay marriage would be the biggest one.
  8. Is there anything else you would like to share? Final calls suck! I think there is so much time wasted on people who don’t know how to use a phone or just get to nervous. That’s the only complaint I have with the show. Everything else is great and love the little family we’ve established here.
Thanks for having me!
