Texans just can’t stop talking about how big everything they have is. I wonder if they’re over-compensating for something……..please don’t shoot me. Hey! We’re live from The W Hotel in Austin, Texas! Today’s show is already off to a fantastic start because there’s a very special guest in the studio…THE MOTHERFUCKIN’ CHURCH OF HADEN! According to Ellis, THC wasn’t lying when he said he drives a big ass truck and hauls around giant rocks and cattle feed. The dude’s diesel. The guys are having a meet and greet at The Market in downtown Austin tonight and are gonna mingle with some Texas fans. Ellis will be on the Onnit podcast to celebrate the opening of their new gym, so you might want to keep an eye on @WarriorPoetUS (Aubrey’s twitter) so you can learn how to check that out. With THC in the house, the guys immediately dive into some movie/Hollywood talk. I won’t go over everything, but the key talking points were how often child stars end up fucked as adults (Shia LeBueoff in particular) and Daniel Day Lewis going improv on a motherfucker’s ass and beating up a co-star during a scene in There Will Be Blood. Apparently, the scene where DDL’s character gets into an argument with a preacher and starts smashing his face into the mud was not scripted. Imagine that. You’re in the middle of a scene and all of the sudden DDL starts kicking your ass, but you just have to go with it because you know this is some Oscar-worthy shit. The guys went over kids movies and how musicals are utter shit, along with the top movies of the past year. THC told a story about Matthew McConaughey during the filming of Killer Joe where he fully-committed to a scene and busted the hell out of his knuckles from punching over and over again. Ellis and THC started talking about their careers and how they “broke big”. THC also told the story about how he became a fan of the show and wanted to meet Ellis. THC is an awesome story-teller. If you get the chance, listen to the replay.
We return form the break with THC telling a story about how his dad and a friend of his went dove hunting and had an encounter with a rattle snake that ended up taking his dad’s friend’s life. Ever since then, Thomas has killed every rattlesnake he’s come across. This got Ellis telling a story about how he and his younger brother, Lethal Lee, were 4-wheeling out in the woods by their vacation house and almost crashed trying to avoid a giant snake that was in the path. They ended up running it over and killing it, and later found out that it was an extremely venomous snake that could have killed them. Continuing with the theme of story-telling, THC told the guys about how he lost his virginity to a Mexican prostitute as part of his football team’s tradition. Ahh Mexico, you can smell the shame and disappointment all the way from Houston. This naturally led to Ellis re-telling the classic “suction” encounter he had with a tranny in Amsterdam. Oh the memories. Ellis asked Thomas if he can cry on command and this led to the two of them talking about how their dads always told them that men don’t cry. They also talked about raising their kids to handle pain and not freak out over little bumps and bruises like bitches. Thomas told stories about injuries he’s had doing stunts for movies and Ellis chimed in with some skating injuries. Thus ends THC’s visit on the show. Man that guy can tell some stories. I wish he was my dad so he could tell me stories all day. Love that guy.
After the break, Mike Dolce, his brother, and Aubrey and Whitney from Onnit stopped by the studio. *Note: Alright, it’s 10:30pm and I’m exhausted from work, so the re-cap is gonna get a little light from here on* As expected, a TON of fight talk took place and Dolce dropped some knowledge on the methods behind his madness. Seriously, if you need to lose weight/get in shape and you haven’t looked him up, do it right now. He’s a genius who gets shit done and done right. He also told some stories about experiences he’s had working with fighters like Vitor Beltor.
Tim Kennedy, Joe DeFranco, and the Team HotDog/Team Kelly Onnit Challenge coaches John and Whitney stopped by and talked about HotDog and Kelly’s progress so far. Kelly’s been working the sex appeal angle with her workout videos, but we all know HotDog has got that locked down with his belly jiggle and grunting. So hot. Tim Kennedy and Ellis talked about Tim’s last fight against Capt. Poo Pants where Tim got robbed thanks to once respected now turncoat referee, Big John McCarthy. Joe DeFranco, owner of the new Onnit gym in Austin, talked about how the gym and the Onnit Academy got started and what their goal is with this gym. The last hour was a whole lot of fight talk with Tim, so I won’t bore you with the details. That does it for today’s show. Sorry this last half was a little light….wait, no I’m not. GET DEEZ BALLS, BITCH!!
